Is Nike Stock Going Higher?
Is Nike stock (ticker NKE) going higher from here?
Let’s consider the following: Nike is one of the world's most recognizable brands. It is the largest supplier of athletic foot ware and apparel, and a major manufacturer of sports equipment. Nike is also recognized for its smaller popular brands, which include; Converse, Chuck Taylor, All Star, One Star, Star Chevron, and Jack Purcell.
Under the Nike brand, Nike offers products in eight categories, including running, basketball, football, men’s training, female training, sportswear, action sports, and golf.
Nike also sells sports apparel and accessories; and markets apparel with licensed college and professional team and league logos. These sales have produced very large annual revenues that keep growing year over year. In The Wealthy Investor program, we only own stocks with year over year revenue growth.
On Dec. 18th, NKE reported earnings of $11.2 billion, an increase of 9% year over year. Nike digital sales increased 84 percent.
In the case of Nike’s stock price, seeing is believing. Take a look at the 5-year chart and how your investment dollars would have grown in that 5-year period alone.
Do I like owing Nike shares right now? The answer is yes. I rate Nike a strong buy for covered calls and dividend collection.
